(Dr. Buckley’s note: If this would have occurred against the unvaccinated, it would have been national news. Outbreaks among the vaccinated occur far more frequently than you are led to believe by the mainstream media.) Friday, February 21, 2014 NEW YORK (WABC) — The outbreak of the mumps at Fordham University has spread from one campus to another. There are now 13 reported cases, 12 at the Rose Hill campus in the Bronx and one at the Lincoln Center campus in Manhattan. The symptoms are similar to the flu, but the virus can also cause painful swelling. All of the infected patients had the mumps vaccine, but doctors say it’s not 100 percent effective. Infected students have been either isolated or sent home. – UHS saw 1 case in January, 4 cases on Feb. 18; 3 cases on Feb. 19 and 5 cases on Feb. 20. – All the students with suspected mumps infections have either returned home or have been isolated from other residents during the infectious phase...

Date: February 12, 2014 New research shows that well-child doctor appointments for annual exams and vaccinations are associated with an increased risk of flu-like illnesses in children and family members within two weeks of the visit. This risk translates to more than 700,000 potentially avoidable illnesses each year, costing more than $490 million annually. The study was published in the March issue of Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology, the journal of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America. “Well child visits are critically important. However, our results demonstrate that healthcare professionals should devote more attention to reducing the risk of spreading infections in waiting rooms and clinics. Infection control guidelines currently exist. To increase patient safety in outpatient settings, more attention should be paid to these guidelines by healthcare professionals, patients, and their families,” said Phil Polgreen, MD, MPH, lead author of the study. By: Dave Mihalovic Parents who wish to opt-out from mandatory vaccination schedules at their doctor’s office will soon be labeled as anti-vaccine parents in need of further enlightenment. The Clinician’s Guide to the Anti-Vaccinationists’ Galaxy, published in the journal Human Immunology attempts to address and convince anti-vaccine parents that their misconceptions about vaccinations are based on myths. In the limited time of an office visit, how can a primary care physician possibly make their case to parents that their child should be vaccinated? Especially with all the informed and educated parents who don’t want their children injected with known neurotoxins, immunotoxins, carcinogens and infertility chemicals, what is a doctor to do? Well, a Mayo Clinic vaccine advocate and pediatrician (of course) offers suggestions for refuting what he considers three of the most common myths about vaccines. Their article, The Clinician’s Guide to the Anti-Vaccinationists’ Galaxy, is published online in the journal Human Immunology. “Primary care physicians have less time than most to explain the scientific case for vaccination. This article...

Press release, European Network of Scientists for Social and Environmental Responsibility, 10 Dec 2013 The number of scientists and experts who have signed a joint statement[1] saying that GM foods have not been proven safe and that existing research raises concerns has climbed to 297 since the statement was released on 21 October. Dr Angelika Hilbeck, chair of the European Network of Scientists for Social and Environmental Responsibility (ENSSER), which published the statement, said, “We’re surprised and pleased by the strong support for the statement. It seems to have tapped into a deep concern in the global scientific community that the name of science is being misused to make misleading claims about the safety of GM technology.” The statement indirectly challenges claims by EU chief science adviser Anne Glover that there is no evidence that GM foods are any riskier than non-GM foods.[2] Dr Rosa Binimelis Adell, board member of ENSSER, said, “It seems that Anne Glover chooses to listen to one side of the scientific community only –...

By Rachel Champeau UCLA researchers now have the first evidence that bacteria ingested in food can affect brain function in humans. In an early proof-of-concept study of healthy women, they found that women who regularly consumed beneficial bacteria known as probiotics through yogurt showed altered brain function, both while in a resting state and in response to an emotion-recognition task. The study, conducted by scientists with the Gail and Gerald Oppenheimer Family Center for Neurobiology of Stress, part of the UCLA Division of Digestive Diseases, and the Ahmanson–Lovelace Brain Mapping Center at UCLA, appears in the current online edition of the peer-reviewed journal Gastroenterology. The discovery that changing the bacterial environment, or microbiota, in the gut can affect the brain carries significant implications for future research that could point the way toward dietary or drug interventions to improve brain function, the researchers said. “Many of us have a container of yogurt in our refrigerator that we may eat for enjoyment, for calcium or because we think it might help our...

Health Impact News The last report issued in 2013 by the Department of Justice (Vaccine Court), for compensation made by the Health and Human Services for people injured or killed by vaccines, was released in December 2013, covering the period of 8/16/2013 through 11/15/2013. The report is available as a Power Point presentation here. There were 139 claims settled during this time period, with 70 of them being compensated. So, just over 50% of the claims filed for vaccine damages were compensated during this period. Once again, the greatest percentage of damages compensated were for the influenza vaccine, and most of those were for Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS). Yet these facts, tucked away in a file on the Department of Health and Human Services website, are never reported in the mainstream media. So we will report them here. You can also read the report yourself in the Power Point file here. Of the 70 cases compensated, 42 of them were for the flu vaccine, or 60% of the cases settled where compensation...

By: Dr. Buckley According to colleagues from Mexico, biomagnetism is as well known as acupuncture is down there. The developer of the biomagnetic pair technique, Dr. David Goiz Duran, MD, has been spreading his system throughout the world. This video demonstrates the efficacy of using the biomagnetism system to diagnose and treat infections as measured by live blood cell analysis. While there is no doubt larger, more controlled studies need to be performed, this provides some data to support what so many biomangetic practitioners claim to observe in their clients....

By Snejana Farberov A high-ranking official with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has declared in an interview with PBS that the age of antibiotics has come to an end. ‘For a long time, there have been newspaper stories and covers of magazines that talked about “The end of antibiotics, question mark?”‘ said Dr Arjun Srinivasan. ‘Well, now I would say you can change the title to “The end of antibiotics, period.”’ Read more...
