More dangerous than a terrorist….

Newsletter publish date:  April 23rd , 2013

The nation is still reeling from the tragedy that occurred at the Boston Marathon, and while I am in no way unsympathetic to those who lost friends and family members or who were injured from this event, it’s important to keep things in perspective.   With every crisis that occurs it seems that the government solution is to take away the rights of people who had nothing to do with the crime, and in reality the world is never safer when they do.(1)(2)(3)  Instead we allow for a greater consolidation of power into the hands of those who sought power and obtained it in government.

As it stands, the current risk of dying from a terrorist attack in America is around 1 in 20 million (3).  Even if you were a participant in this years Boston marathon, your risk of harm was less than .1% (3 people died and nearly 27,000 people participated).

Below I will list 5 common activities of every day Americans that carry risks far greater than terrorist attacks, but because the mass media propaganda machine isn’t pumping out the fear related to these items you probably don’t give it a second thought at all.  This list doesn’t include driving a car either.

5 common activities more likely to kill you than a terrorist attack.

1.)  Consumption of over the counter anti-inflammatories like Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Aspirin, etc kill around 16,000 Americans every year.(4)   Why aren’t there calls for increasing controls on your access to them, since the inherent danger from using them is many times greater than dying from a terrorist strike in America?  Perhaps TSA should be outside of every bar with new high tech security machines to determine if you’ve recently ingested an NSAID before you increase your risk of death the dangerous alcohol NSAID combination?

2.)  High- Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) consumption-  This sweet tasting low grade poison found in virtually every commercial soft drink, including the “sports drinks” like Gatorade and Powerade are arguably killing more Americans than any other legal substance.  The reason I make this claim is due to the fact that it is very clearly linked to elevated blood sugar, and diabetes (5).  While diabetes is currently officially recognized as the 7th leading cause of death in the US, a strong argument can be made that heart disease and cancer, which are 1 and 2 on this list (killing more than 1M Americans each year) are in fact greatly exacerbated by elevations in blood sugar and insulin resistance which result from the consumption of HFCS.  HFCS raises blood sugar, which causes a surge in blood vessel damaging high insulin and the resulting insulin resistance.(6)(7)  As it relates to cancer, some researchers and clinicians believe that at least some forms of cancer are in fact fungal in nature.  Fungus loves sugar.  It stands to reason that if at least some forms of cancer are fungal in nature, and that HFCS creates chronic blood sugar elevations that HFCS is likely feeding many of the cancers people are being challenged with.  There are studies correlating the increased cancer risk with elevations in blood sugar too.(8)(9)

3.)  Visiting an allopathic doctor for non-emergency care-  Allopathic medicine, which is conventional medicine, is statistically the third leading cause of death in the US according to the Journal of the American Medical Association.  Over 225,000 deaths occur every year from a physician’s activity, manner, or therapy in the US.(10)  A more in depth analysis of the data has suggested that conventional medicine is actually the leading cause of death, surpassing heart disease and cancer.(11)

4.)
Encountering a police officer.  There are statistics which indicate that you are 8 times more likely to die at the hands of a police officer than you are a terrorist.  Do a search through youtube and you’ll see how common place it has become for police to severely beat or kill people for victimless crimes.  My point isn’t to say that all police officers are bad, but there are enough bad apples in law enforcement that should make anybody nervous about their presence whether they’re violating the law or not.  Why do I say that?  See below…

5.)  What’s the one thing that most people just can’t imagine living without, largely. they say, because without it, “Who would build the roads?”  (The correct answer is the same people who build driveways now.) A growing number of people are recognizing that it is in fact big government itself that is holding the world back from advancing forward.  Perhaps that seems a little strong to you, but a very detailed study has indicated that the institution of government itself is the leading cause of non-natural death to people all over the planet over the last 100 years.  It’s called democide.  I find it very important to point this out, as in many of the places where the largest mass murders of the population took place occurred after a rather rapid erosion of the rights of the people, and especially after the people have been disarmed and unable to adequately protect themselves from an all powerful government.  Since 9/11 and the passage of the Patriot Act, the NDAA of 2012, and what will surely come with more random acts of violence, we face the very real threat that we are setting ourselves up for mass atrocities here, all because too many people were willing to sacrifice their liberty for the illusion of security.  Remember, there were people in Nazi Germany, Mao’s China, Stalinist Russia, and Pol Pot’s Cambodia who thought, “That’ll never happen here.” too.  Your continual support of this outdated concept of coexistence has consequences that are hazardous to our health.  It’s time to create a society based on voluntary, non-coercive, cooperation.

Remember this, $35 Billion have been spent on the creation of the Department of Homeland Security since it’s inception, and yet the bombing in Boston still took place.  The FBI has been cooking up terrorist plots itself to make it look like a much needed and timely savior (12), when in fact they may be making our society more dangerous as they did by allowing the bombing of the WTC building in 1993.  For some reason, I think our money could be better spent than on a problem that can never be stopped, which is statistically far less of a threat than dying from a bee sting or lightening(13), let alone the threats I have listed above.

    • You can’t separate politics from health right now, and for the foreseeable future, unfortunately.

“Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come
when medicine will organize into an undercover dictatorship to restrict
the art of healing to one class of Men and deny equal privileges to
others; the Constitution of the Republic should make a Special
privilege for medical freedoms as well as religious freedom.”
      — Dr. Benjamin Rush, M.D.

  2. Pigweed can quickly get out of control. Each plant can produce up to 500,000 seeds. Many farmers control pigweed and other problem plants by growing genetically modified crops. Such crops do not react to the effects of the weed-killing product called Roundup. Farmers can treat their field with Roundup and kill the weeds, but the chemical does not harm the crop.

  3. A hearing on a motion by Marotta’s attorneys to dismiss the case is scheduled for January 8.

  4. In a recent court filing, the Justice Department argued that judicial sanctions against Russia in this case would be contrary to US foreign policy interests and inconsistent with United States law.
